About Us
Tutoring Pros originated in response to the 2011 Texas statewide education budget reduction. While envisioning Tutoring Pros our focus was to ensure that the clients’ needs guided our decisions. Focusing on this ideology we decided to develop Tutoring Pros business model based on a servant leadership platform. A servant leadership business model places its vision on trusting educational partners and focuses on the client’s need to provide a superior educational experience. We began our journey to develop a company based on character, integrity, honor, and respect for all of those involved with Tutoring Pros. Our original focus was to provide students with a private “in-house” experience that caters to a family’s lifestyle while keeping a focus on the student’s learning behavior and needs. As the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic expanded into the United States in March 2020 we expanded our model to encompass a web based educational platform to continue training students.
Tutoring Pros consists of a broad spectrum of professionals from industry and academia who have united to academically prepare students, and to advise students concerning career/personal goals. The majority of our educators have obtained a plethora of academic degrees in science, mathematics, engineering, technology, and fine arts.
Our client basis is strong and continually growing. We have taught a broad spectrum of students ranging from high school to undergraduate and graduate students!

Jeff Forbus, M.S.
Jeff Forbus is the owner/developer of Tutoring Pros that academically prepares students to sit for college and graduate school entrance exams (ACT / SAT, GRE, MCAT) while simultaneously coaching them through the psychological challenges that emerge as they are maturing into a self-reliant achiever! Our coaching foundation is based on the Situational Leadership II ideology recognizing that as students academically develop our coaching methods must change in accord with their needs. As he continues to develop Tutoring Pros his academic and professional achievements fused with his life experiences influence the direction in which Tutoring Pros moves into the future.
Academically, Jeff holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biology granted from the University of Houston – Clear Lake (UHCL). Jeff developed an extensive background in medical research and education. As an undergraduate he became involved in research projects focusing on identifying proteins that interacted with a tumor suppressor gene. Jeff advanced his research career at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) while working as a Research Associate in the Brasier laboratory. While at UTMB he worked on several different projects involving “inflammatory responses” and authored and co-authored academic research papers published in highly regarded journals, Proteomics and Journal of Virology. Other authors have cited this published work numerous times. Jeff became an adjunct faculty member at UHCL where he taught Cellular Biology, and a variety of laboratories that include Genetics, Genomic Sequencing, and Biochemistry.
Jeff has held a State of Texas Composite Science Teaching Certificate in secondary education. He has extensive experience in the classroom having taught mathematics to chemistry. He was awarded “The Most Influential Teacher” award by the Angleton High School Varsity Football team. He personally continues to mentor several students that have graduated from high school or college to develop their academic careers as well as their professional and life goals.
Philosophically, Jeff describes himself as “a perpetual student of personal development” and is devoted to health and physical fitness as well as to personal and financial success. He is a man with a passion for teaching and a great love of life. He remains devoted to challenging others to face their fears and to overcome adversity. Mentor your way to a better life because the greatest success we will know is helping others succeed and grow. You are always in control of your attitude and a positive attitude will give you a greater chance of success.,

Rana Bonds, M.D.
Rana earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Loyola University of New Orleans, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine. In addition to her medical studies, because of her longstanding commitment to education, she took additional course hours in Houston Baptist University’s Master of Education program. Formally an assistant professor and the Interim Director of the Allergy & Immunology Division of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). While employed at UTMB she taught medical students in both the classroom and clinical settings. Additionally, she was heavily involved in the education of medical residents and clinical fellows. Currently she owns and operates the clinic Allergy & Asthma Specialty Center in League City. Rana is a board certified Internist and Allergist/Immunologist and spends a significant amount of time caring for patients. Also she is active in clinical research including studies which she designed, as well as trials of new medical treatments for rare diseases of the immune system. Rana brings to Tutoring Pros her expertise in medical education as well as a unique perspective as an administrative leader in academia.
